Are More Jewels Better? |
More jewels commonly mean more complications, but it does not necessarily signify higher quality. In the 1960s some watchmakers made timepieces that featured dozens of unfunctional decorative jewels, but that craze fortunately faded. In modern practice, most watches will not usually exceed 31 jewels.
